A Dream Realized, Prayers Answered

Throughout this whole week, they had been calling for a lot of rain on Saturday. Seth and Luke have both missed two games this season because the Saturday games were rained out and they played on Sunday. We don't do Sunday games....so we were really nervous that the boys weren't going to be able to play in their games this weekend.

Seth came home from school Friday and said he had "prayed a trillion times" that he would be able to play on Saturday....well the Lord heard those prayers!! Saturday morning at 8, it was not raining. That's when the officials look at the fields to see if they are playable. It still wasn't raining at 9 either...the games began for the day. Luke played in the morning in the drizzle...by the time Seth played at 2:30, there was a steady rain and MUD! A boys dream....to play football in the rain and mud!

The rain was steady, but the temperatures were quite pleasant...in the 60's. Despite the moisture, we were thrilled as we watched them slipping and sliding on the field knowing this was a small miracle that they were able to play today...the Lord does hear and answer even the simplest requests....especially when we pray a "trillion times".
